Spool Performance FX-400 Stage 4 High-pressure fuel pump upgrade
Spool Performance is proud to introduce our flag-ship 200 bar high-pressure fuel pump. The FX400 improves on our existing industry leading FX200 by about 20% across the entire delivery range.
The FX400 coupled with our IFX-22 VR30DDTT DI injectors is a true revolution and the key to DI only high horsepower numbers on the VR30 high-pressure fuel system.
What is the FX-400?
The FX-400 is our new flagship upgraded high-pressure fuel pump for the VR30DDTT motor aimed at fueling extreme high performance builds. The pump features about 20% more flow over our existing industry leading 200 bar pump, the FX200. The pump is completely E85 compatible and fully plug and play with no cutting or splicing of any kind required. The added flow will let you run much higher ethanol concentrations and also allow fueling for bigger turbos.
Spool 10-micron filter unit
Our included 10-micron filter unit boasts the best filtration available on the VR30 market without any noticeable pressure drop in the low side fuel system. The filter unit helps keep the high-pressure pump and injectors safe by protecting them against debris and is highly recommended.
Spool Ethanol Content Monitor
The spool ECA kit for the VR30 features a digital readout of in-tank ethanol content and fuel temperature. It includes our SPOOL Ethanol content analyzer app on mobile and readouts are delivered via BLE 4.0 low energy technology. BLE4.0 allows you to use your regular Bluetooth devices on your mobile devices while being connected to the SPOOL ECA module. The ECA module also has a 0-5V filtered output for flex-fuel implementation on the VR30 platform. Fuel lines used in the kit are braided steel nylon core fuel lines that are 100% E85 compatible.
Low Pressure Fuel Pump Upgrade:
Proper low pressure fueling is extremely important for proper functioning and durability of the high pressure pumps and injectors in a DI system. Inadequate low pressure fueling can cause damage to the pump piston and bore as they are lubricated by controlled leakage of fuel. Resulting damage from low pressure starvation is detectable and would be cause for voided warranties. Please make sure you plan out your fuel system build with proper low pressure upgrades when necessary.
