SPOOL Mercedes-AMG C43 Cat-Back Exhaust System

A complete 304 stainless cat-back replacement for the C43, built to open up the restrictive factory rear section without giving up daily drivability. Twin valved rear mufflers retain full OEM-style valve control, so the car stays civil when the valves are shut and hardens up the moment they open.

Flow & Design

The system routes both banks through a single merged collector before splitting to the twin rear mufflers. Merging first and splitting late keeps flow stable through the mid-section and evens out the pulses feeding each muffler, so the gain is in flow quality rather than raw volume.

• Twin front inlets merging into one Y-collector for balanced flow off both banks
• Mandrel-bent tubing holds full internal diameter through every bend
• Consistent cross-sectional area avoids sudden restrictions and pressure drops
• Free-flowing rear mufflers replacing the heavily baffled factory units

Valve Control

Each rear muffler carries its own exhaust valve driven by a vacuum actuator, crank lever and return spring. The system is built around OEM-style valve operation, so factory valve behavior is preserved and the exhaust note stays tied to drive mode rather than running loud all the time.

Sound

Noticeably deeper and fuller than stock with the valves closed, and considerably harder and more vocal once they open. The merged mid-section gives the C43 a cleaner, more focused tone than a straight muffler delete, which tends to sound flat and droney by comparison.

Construction

• 304 stainless steel throughout for heat and corrosion resistance
• Full TIG welding for clean, durable, leak-free joints
• Braided stainless flex joints on both front inlets absorb engine movement and thermal expansion
• Band-clamp slip joints allow alignment to be dialed in during fitting
• Factory hanger locations retained via welded rod hangers on each muffler
• Slash-cut stainless outlet tips, one per muffler

Installation

Direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points using the supplied clamping hardware. No cutting, welding or permanent modification is required, and the OEM system can be refitted at any time.
