From the factory, McLarens are pretty quiet for what they are. The turbos are doing a lot, but most of the sound gets recirculated back into the intake, so you barely hear anything.

Instead of routing the pressure back in, they vent it to atmosphere. So when you lift off the throttle, you get that noticeable turbo dump sound instead of nothing.
